How to Manage eBay Promoted Listings in Vendoo

With Vendoo's eBay Promoted Listings integration, you can manage the promotion settings for an individual eBay listing without leaving Vendoo.

You can add or remove a listing from existing campaigns, update certain campaign settings, or create a new campaign directly from Vendoo.

Promoted Listings are eBay's advertising service. When you promote a listing, eBay gives it additional visibility by displaying it as a Sponsored item in search results and other areas of eBay.

Depending on the campaign type, you may pay eBay when the item sells or when shoppers click on the promoted listing.

Vendoo supports both types of eBay Promoted Listings campaigns.

General campaigns use a Cost Per Sale model.

Priority campaigns use a Cost Per Click model.

Important: A listing can be part of both a General campaign and one or more Priority campaigns at the same time.

You can access promotion settings directly from the eBay listing form.

You'll see a Promote on eBay option on the listing. Click it to open the campaign management window.

You'll see Promoted in X campaigns along with a Manage button. Click Manage to view and update the campaigns associated with the listing. Your current campaigns will already be selected.

The campaign manager displays your available General and Priority campaigns.

If you don't have an existing campaign that you want to use, you can create one directly in Vendoo.

Choose New Campaign and select either:

You'll then enter the required value for the campaign:

Vendoo automatically names the campaign using eBay's naming format:

New campaigns start today and run continuously with no end date until you pause them on eBay.

eBay requires a campaign to contain at least one listing.

Because of this, a new campaign is only created when you select it for the current listing.

If you create a campaign but leave it unselected, Vendoo will show Won't be created and explain why.

You can edit a selected campaign directly from Vendoo. The setting you can change depends on the campaign type:

$5.00 → $9.00/day

Changes are applied when you save your campaign selections.

Before Vendoo makes any changes, you'll have an opportunity to review your selections. Each pending change is clearly identified:

The new campaign will be created and applied to the listing.

The new campaign was created in Vendoo but wasn't selected for the current listing. Since eBay requires a campaign to contain at least one listing, it will not be created.

An existing campaign's ad rate or daily budget will be updated.

The review shows the previous and new values.

The listing will be removed from the campaign and will no longer be promoted through that campaign.

The summary at the bottom shows how many changes will be applied, removed, or not created.

After you apply your changes, Vendoo will display a confirmation screen showing the result for each campaign. You'll be able to see whether each change was:

If a change fails, you can retry it from the confirmation screen.

If you haven't created any eBay Promoted Listings campaigns yet, Vendoo will display an empty state with the option to create your first General or Priority campaign.

You can create the campaign directly in Vendoo without having to leave Vendoo and return later.
