If you're wondering when and why you might see buttons that say "Update All" and "Reset," this is the article for you.
Before we explain that, here is a reminder about how the Vendoo form works:
When you first import or create a listing anything that you enter on the Vendoo form will transfer to the marketplace forms. This is the core of how Vendoo listing works.
From there, many sellers make additional changes to various marketplace forms. Perhaps you want to use different description language on just one marketplace? Perhaps you want to use a different brand because they are recognized differently?
Vendoo allows you to make marketplace-specific changes, directly on the marketplace forms, to customize your listings by marketplace.
This is where the "Update All" and "Reset" buttons come in.
The Update All Button
Sometimes you will see an "update all" button appear on various fields on the Vendoo form.
If you don't see the Update All button, it is because the information on all of your marketplace forms currently matches the Vendoo form. In this scenario, to make changes to all marketplaces at once, you can simply select save at the bottom of the Vendoo form.
If you see the Update All button on the Vendoo form, it is because you have previously made unique changes on at least one marketplace form. This means you have changed the information on that particular field on at least one marketplace, and it does not currently match the Vendoo form.
Vendoo is giving you the option to update all marketplace forms to reflect your new edit on the Vendoo form.
β If you want the change to update the field on all marketplace forms, select Update All.
β If you do not want to update the field on all marketplace forms, because you want to preserve any marketplace-specific changes you have made to that field, do not click Update All.
This is a way for you to decide if you would like subsequent changes to the Vendoo form to be reflected everywhere, or if you want unique customizations you have made on marketplaces to be preserved. π―
The Reset Button
Sometimes you will see a "reset" button appear on various fields on the marketplace forms.
If you don't see the Reset button, it is because the information on the marketplace form matches that on the Vendoo form.
If you see the Reset button on a marketplace form field, it is because the information does not match the Vendoo form.
Vendoo is giving you the option to reset this field to reflect what appears in the Vendoo form.
β If you want the change to update the field to match the Vendoo form, select Reset.
β If you do not want to update the field to match the Vendoo form, because you have made this change intentionally, do not click Reset.
